João was so much more than our “driver” during our time in Portugal. He truly became part of what made our trip so special and memorable. From the very beginning, he was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. His recommendations for places to eat, sights to see, and things we might have otherwise missed were fantastic and added so much to our experience. It felt like we were exploring Portugal with a local friend rather than simply being driven from place to place. What meant the most to us was how wonderful he was with our family. He was endlessly patient and playful with our 1-year-old and made such an effort to engage with our 14-year-old as well. Traveling with kids can sometimes be stressful, but João made everything feel easy, comfortable, and fun. By the end of our trip, we genuinely felt like we had made a friend, and saying goodbye was bittersweet.
